Raimund Kogler from Enns/Upper Austria visited the school (January 2011)
In January 2011 I was the third time with Mamadou Diabate in his home country Burkina Faso, precisely in the city of Bobo Dioulasso.
This time he showed me the school, which, in recent years, was created by his initiative with the help of the Association Sababu.
I could have a look at it, at the teaching and was deeply impressed.
A clean school that is exemplary for Burkina Faso. (I've seen there other schools too.)
75 children in a class who obviously feel very comfortable.
A very friendly, young teacher.
If a child at the blackboard correctly answered a question of the teacher, all children clap their hands to rejoice with him/her.
Calm and discipline that I can not imagine here in Europe in the first class with 75 children.
This discipline is not caused by pressure or coercion, it seems to be simply granted.
Whether in class or during the lunch break, everything is very comfortable and orderly.
In Burkina there is a competition among schools. Mamadou's school was the best in Bobo Dioulasso. (450,000 inhabitants)
For me it was a nice experience, to see and feel all this.
I have great respect for what Mamadou and the Association Sababu achieved for the children in Bobo Dioulasso.
Simply great! On behalf of the children I thank them very much and I keep on supporting this project as far as I can.
